Fresh seafood, panoramic mountain views, and an often raucous bar scene are identifying traits of a Lisbon that has found its way toward the top of Europe’s list of must-see cities. Visitors in need of a snack can head to Antiga Confeitaria de Belem, established in 1837, for a quick pastry and a look at the ornate vaulted, tiled ceilings. Lisbon’s wine scene is blossoming, and nowhere is this more apparent than the tiny BA Wine Bar do Bairro Alto, with its selection of around 200 Portuguese wines paired with delightful tapas.
