This 9-day, 8-night escorted tour through Vietnam includes a night aboard a junk – a traditional sailing vessel - in one of the most beautiful spots on Earth: Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Natural Site.
During your trip, your professional tour escort will take you from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam – which was formerly called Saigon. Located on the Indochina Peninsula, Vietnam is a country roughly the same size as Italy. It is home to an interesting diversity of religions, cuisines and natural landscapes.
In Hanoi enjoy a guided sightseeing tour feature Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the Rising Sun Bridge. Then continue on to Ha Long for a once-in-a-lifetime overnight experience. As part of the itinerary you will also enjoy a cooking class in a local village as well as a boat trip down the Thu Bon River. Two additional UNESCO World Heritage Sites are featured on the itinerary (for more information on the sites, please click on the specific links): the Complex of Hué monuments and the ancient town of Hoi An.
City Taxes are not included.
A city tax on hotel stays may be charged and collected directly from you at the time of checkout. These taxes vary by hotel category and city, and may change at any time based on local legislation.
Entry Requirements:
Passengers traveling abroad require a passport valid for six months beyond their travel dates. All travelers are responsible to check if a visa is required for all countries on their itinerary.
PLEASE NOTE FOR TRAVEL INTO VIETNAM: Beginning 1 Feb 2017, Vietnam officially launched their new e-visa program. The advantage of an e-visa is that clients will not have to wait at the airport for a Visa on Arrival, resulting in a faster Immigration process. U.S. Citizens will be able to apply for a 30-day, single-entry e-visa. The fee is $25 per person, paid at the time your application is submitted. This fee is non-refundable, even if the visa is refused.
How to apply for a Vietnam e-visa online: To apply for e-visas, foreign citizens can visit the e-visa page of Vietnam Immigration’s website at www.immigration.gov.vn. Applicants will receive an application code and will be asked to pay a non-refundable, $25 per person fee online. Guests need to upload their passport plus 1 photo (looking straight ahead without glasses).
