Travel To England The most populous of the four nations that make up the United Kingdom, England is home to the British capital, London. The city houses some of the world's most memorable icons: Westminster Abbey, a sacred place for centuries; Big Ben, the world's most famous clock tower, and the London Eye, a more modern icon. But there are so many things to be explored beyond the shores of the Thames River.

Simple daytrips from London give you the ability to step back in time, to the days of thatched-roof cottages and medieval castles. Bath highlights some of Britain's well preserved architecture, and in the city of York you can enjoy old fashioned tea rooms and then walk it off with a stroll on the old city walls. Or maybe you can try to find some royalty in Windsor, a working castle like many others throughout England.

But when you travel to England, do not limit yourself to only the capital city and daytrips. You can take the train up to Liverpool, home of the Beatles– maybe you'll find your muse as well while enjoying the architecture and atmosphere. We also have a fly and drive package, which allows you to explore the rural side of England. Spend some time in port towns like Brighton or seashore areas like Cornwall. Much of the countryside is national parks, with clear and maintained paths of varying difficulties, so you can go for a easy stroll or work your way to the top of the higher hills. Be sure to bring wet weather gear, though, as the heavens can open even on a sunny day. Often recommended areas include the Cotswolds, the Lake District (popular with campers), and the countryside around Durham City and its striking cathedral.

If you have had enough of the great outdoors, plenty of cities have an open invitation. A popular town in the north is Manchester, known for its vibrant nightlife and a roaring culinary scene, including a whole "mile" of restaurants serving up curry.

No matter what you're looking for, you'll find it when you travel to England.
