Rooms for two passengers are either twin bedded or Double bedded as per the hotels available room types. Other bedding types may be requested and could incur additional cost. Please see the hotels notes section for details.
Space is limited and your desired travel dates may not be available if you wait, so book early to avoid disappointment. We highly recommend 2nd and 3rd choices for travel dates and/or accommodations.

China Visa Requirements
A VALID PASSPORT AND VISA ARE REQUIRED FOR ENTRY INTO CHINA

China Departure Tax
Required upon departure in local currency (cash only) the amount of approximately CNY 90 Ren Min Bi (approximately $11.00 US). Aircraft boarding will be denied to any passenger who fail to pay this tax which is collected after check-in and prior to boarding by Federal Airport staff. Full payment due within 1 day of booking by 2pm.
Restrictions:
Prices are per person based on double occupancy and a 21-day advance purchase. Purchases within 21 days will incur additional shipping and handling fees. Air carrier used in the package is based on gateway and availability at time of booking and multiple flights connections may be necessary. Flight departure times may be at any time on your requested departure day. Surcharges up to $60 per person each way apply for travel Friday, Saturday and Sunday depending on travel dates. Air taxes/Government-imposed fees/surcharges are excluded. These fees are in addition to the package prices and will be added to invoice. Travel is valid for these dates only. Certain other restrictions may apply, and offer is subject to change without notice. No request will be processed until full payment is received. Once submitted your request can take at least 24 hours to confirm. 2nd and 3rd choices for travel dates are highly recommended.

We loved this trip!
- Stay at least 4 days in China if possible -- don't miss the Forbidden City, Great Wall, Summer Palace, or Lama Temple, all but the latter of which takes a full day.
- Both the cheap hotels (Jing Du Yuan and Gimmond) were great -- simple, clean, with a tasty (unusual) breakfast at the first and a swank lobby (though teeny double room) in the second. Also cute kimonos.
- Being picked up at the airport is a huge go-today.com perk. Our Chinese liason, Max, was especially excellent. The service doesn't apply in Japan, but their trains/subways are so easy -- you get to Tokyo from the airport for $10 in 110 minutes.
- Getting a Chinese visa in one day was quite easy (at least from NYC) - none required for Japan.
- Nippon airlines was roomy and efficient (with personal TVs)- I couldn't believe it was nonstop from NYC to Tokyo.
- Going to Beijing first was perfect. There is so much to see there, but it's the more challenging leg of the trip -- few English speakers and very aggressive bargainers. Tokyo is beautiful, modern, sparkling clean, and ... full of parks -- far more tranquil than we imagined. It was the perfect rest after China.
- Both subway systems put ours to shame for cleanliness and ease.
- Both cities have great cheap food. Everything in China is cheap (private front-row Beijing opera table, with tea and cookies, for $22! $1 taxis!). And Tokyo was cheaper than we thought - if you avoid movies, DVD/CD purchases, etc (which are outrageous) the tourist attractions (temples, parks, museums) are cheap or free.
Overall, an amazing experience!
