The view of sky-scrapered Hong Kong Island, which is one of the most stunning urban panoramas on earth, is enough to entice some travelers, but Hong Kong also offers other delights for its visitors. By venturing outside of the energetic downtown area, itself a shoppers paradise, culinary delight and entertainment extravaganza, you can still find quite inviting beaches, rewarding hiking trails and a few surviving enclaves of Chinese village life.

Hotel rooms at BP International were very clean although a bit small. Didn't like the fact there were no designated non-smoking rooms. I liked the spot of the hotel which was closer to markets, shopping and the Catholic church.
Enjoyed the tours in and around Hong Kong. Service provided were very good.
All in all we enjoyed our stay in Hong Kong.

We LOVED this trip and can’t say enough good things about it. Weather in HK in February was terrific---sunny and warm (75’F, some days even warmer) with cooler mornings. We stayed at the Newton, which was perfectly fine, and a bargain to boot, but next time will go for Excelsior or Royal Pacific. Newton was great, because only 2 blocks away from MRT (subway) stop, but in a bit more residential a location than the others. Pretty good hotel buffet breakfast (American-like & Chinese-style, together) for ~ $15 USD, or go down a block to Maxim’s for HK fast food breakfast for ~ $3 USD! Don’t miss the city tour that go-today will book for you---it’s phenomenal and will give you an excellent overview of the city. We were impressed by go-today.com’s service---someone was waiting for us when we got out of the baggage claim of the airport, so it was a breeze getting to our hotel. Don’t worry about cash---you’ll be able to get it out of the ATMs that are everywhere. Would recommend you tack on some (2, 3) extra days, to go to China, Lantau Island, Macau…tours very easy to find via your hotel or the go-today.com tour. Too much to do; we’ll have to go back. Also, check out discoverhongkong.com for free cultural events and tours (kung fu exhibitions in the park, tea appreciation ceremony, feng shui explained, etc.) before you go.
