Egypt is a country of vast landscapes and varying sightseeing opportunites. Your journey begins in Cairo, where you will view the Great Sphinx, the Stepped Pyramids and visit Sakkara and Memphis. From Cairo, fly to Aswan to board your three night cruise up the Nile to Luxor. Visit the Temple of Edfu and felucca around Elephantine Island. After cruising the Nile fly to the beaches of Sharm El Sheikh where you will have free time to explore the city before returning to Cairo for your retun flight back to the USA.

Day 2: Cairo
Arrive Cairo International airport where you will be met and assisted through formalities, and then transferred to your hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel
Enjoy a full day of sightseeing with visits to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx
Memphis the capital of ancient Egypt and Sakkara which is best known for the step pyramid the oldest known of Egypt's 97 pyramids.

Day 4: Cairo / Aswan / Nile Cruise

Transfer to the Aiport for your flight to Aswan
Morning Flight to Aswan
Upon arrival in Aswan you will be met and transferred to your cruise ship by our local guide
Visit the High Dam of Aswan, the unfinished Obelisque which lies in it's original location and was most probably abandoned when some cracks were discovered during it's construction.
Continue to the Philae Temple which was relocated from it's original site on Philae Island to it's current location on the Agilika Island in the wake of the High Dam construction.

Day 5: Sail Aswan - Kom Ombo - Edfu - Luxor

Visit to the Kom Ombo temple dating back to the Ptolemies it is built on a high dune overlooking the Nile
Continue sailing to Edfu and Visit the Edfu Temple located on the west bank of the Nile it is the second largest temple in Egypt after Karnak and one of the best preserved
Continue sailing to Luxor

Sightseeing begins today with a visit to the Valley of the Kings. This narrow valley is where the tombs of Kings were cut directly into the limestone hills. Continue to Hatchepsut Temple a monument to Queen Hatchepsut and the Colossi of Memnon a mortuary temple guarded by two gigantic statues on the outer gates.
This afternoon sightseeing includes visits to Karnak, thought to be the most sacred of places in ancient times this vast complex contains three main temples and several smaller enclosed temples although significantly ruined it remains one of the most impressive sights in Egypt.
Continue to Luxor Temple once connected to the Temples of Karnak by an avenue of sphinxes over one and a half miles the Temple of Luxor was the ancient center of many festivals and remains one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt.

Day 7: Luxor - Sharm El Sheikh

Embark on a full day of sightseeing with visits to the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel which is one of Cairo's most popular attractions housing a number of museums, ancient mosques and other sites.
Conclude your sightseeing with a visit to Khan El Khalili Bazaar which dates back to 1382 it is one of the most important shopping areas and represents the market tradition which established Cairo as a major center of trade.

Notes:
US citizens require a visa to visit Egypt. Travelers are required to be in possession of a valid passport. Entry visas may be obtained from Egyptian Diplomatic and Consular Missions Abroad or from the Entry Visa Department at the Travel Documents, Immigration and Nationality Administration (TDINA). It is, however, possible for most tourists and visitors to obtain an entry visa at any of the Major Ports of Entry. Please check with your nearest Egyptian Consular mission for more details concerning visa regulations applying to your citizenship.
Visas can be obtained upon arrival for US Passport holders at a fee of approx USD25.00
Please note that in many cases, Egypt Air changes intra-Egypt schedules, flights and reservations. Your final flight schedule will only be confirmed to you by our local representative while you are in Egypt.
Health recommendations for US travelers Travelers should consider purchasing medical evacuation insurance if they are visiting a country where there may be limited access to medical facilities.

Prices are per person based on double occupancy and a 30-day advance purchase. Triple Rooms are extremely limited and subject to availability upon booking. Purchases within 30 days will incur additional fees. Air carrier used in the package is based on gateway and availability at time of booking and multiple flights connections may be necessary. Flight departure times may be at any time on your requested departure day. Air taxes/Government-imposed fees/surcharges are excluded. These fees are in addition to the package prices and will be added to invoice. Travel is valid for these dates only.
