The King’s Road is an ancient travel route, which was used by kings and their messengers since the 13th century. The route follows an old postal road, which ran between Scandinavia and Russia. Along the route there are a wealth of historic manor houses, medieval churches, picturesque villages and charming old ironworks. The section featured here runs through Finland’s southern coastal region from Helsinki to Turku and on to Stockholm onboard a cruise ferry.
