Description WESTMINSTER ABBEY – This magnificent and world-famous building is this country’s most important church and has been the site of every coronation since 1066. Our tour includes the Royal Chapels, resting place for most of our medieval monarchs since the time of Henry III in the thirteenth century, Poet’s Corner and much more. This church is used for the country’s main religious ceremonies such as state weddings and funerals, the last two being for Diana, Princess of Wales and Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. When services prohibit a visit inside the Abbey we will visit the Chapter House instead.
CHANGING OF THE GUARD - We drive to Buckingham Palace to witness the pomp and pageantry of the Changing of the Guard. Thrill to the colour, the movement, and music of Her Majesty’s Royal Household Troops. A photographer’s paradise! When there is no Guard Change we’ll visit Horseguards Parade- just as colourful!
This tour finishes at Buckingham Palace at approximately 12:00.
