Welcome – Arrive at Euston Station at 06:15am and meet the Golden Tours representative by the Ticket Office who will check you in and escort you to your reserved seats. Train departs at 06:46am arriving in Oxenholme at 09:53am, where your guide will meet you on the platform.
Oxenholme – On arrival you will be met by a professional local guide who will take you to Windermere. Here you will have a short break before we drive to Grasmere to see Wordsworth's Dove Cottage, the Wordsworth family graves and Gingerbread shop. We then drive through the Yewdale valley to Coniston Water where we will enjoy a Cruise on the Lake, then onto *Hill Top, the home of Beatrix Potter. We visit Tarn Hows and the medieval village of Hawkshead with its quaint alleyways, 12th century church and 16th century grammar school attended by William Wordsworth.
Return – Your guide will escort you back to the train station for your return journey back to London arriving at 8:25pm.
GOLDEN TOURS UNIQUE FEATURE:
Cream Tea At The World Of Beatrix Potter – We drive to Bowness on the shores of Lake Windermere to visit the World of Beatrix Potter. Here you will be served cream tea in the unique indoor Peter Rabbit Tea Garden. Your guide will then escort you back to the train station for your return journey back to London leaving Oxenholme at 5:13pm arriving at 8:26pm.
