Very pleased. Guides spoke English well. Met different people every day since this was essentially a series of individual tours grouped together to form a package. Every tour was on-time and kept moving at a good pace. Stayed at the New Miyako in Kyoto... a good choice as it was next to train station with lots of shopping and restaurant options. With the dollar weak - and Japanese food expensive - some meals can get expensive... Less expensive options exist... we went to bakeries and some "fast-food" places to keep costs down. Communication with JTB and their attention to detail and being very on time definitely helped the trip a lot more than what I had expected. I was a little worried about the whole being picked up at the airport situation, but there was someone there to pick us up and tell us where to go. I loved it. Everything was as said in the itinerary, and I loved how things moved. The only thing I thought was lacking was the amount of time we got to spend at each place. it was as if we were being herded and given time limits, instead of being able to enjoy the places. Other than that, it was amazing! I can't wait to go back again!
