Description Full Day Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven & the Summer Palace.
The Forbidden City: Built in the period 1406-1420, it boasts over 9,000 room units. This huge complex of halls, towers and pavillions with glazed golden tiles was the Imperial court as well the home of emperors and empresses of Mong and Qing dynasties (1421-1911).
The Temple of Heaven: Where the Ming and Wing emperors came to pray for good harvests. The three story round temple building rises from a large aquareplatform four meters high fittingly standing in a ceremonial ground surrounded by acres of ancient trees.
The Summer Palace was once used as the summer resort for the imperial family. The earth dug from Kumming Lake was used to create Longevity Hill. The palace is made up of terraces, towers, pavillions, halls, temples, a long corridor, a marble boat, and a theater to make it a beautiful place to visit.
