Description Visit Buzios, a charming town surrounded by over twenty-five beaches, located only 105 miles from Rio, a short 2 ½ hour trip. This tour takes you to the Búzios Peninsula, whose numerous beaches and crystal-clear water contrast with the sculptured landscape and lush vegetation. This picturesque fishing village was elected as one of the 10 most beautiful areas in the world and is famous for its unique combination of rustic charm, architectural harmony, and sophisticated boutiques and restaurants. Visitors flock from all over the world to experience Búzios’ magic.
Upon arrival to Buzios, you will board a schooner for your 2 ½ hour cruise around the bay. You will have the opportunity to visit the most beautiful of the islands, many comparable to those of Saint Tropez. The schooner will make stops (about 15 minutes each) at two beaches for swimming during the tour. Lunch is included upon return to shore. From here the rest of the time in Buzios is yours to explore this wonderful town on your own (approximately three hours). Go shopping or hang out at the beach. You can also choose to go swimming or diving.
The town of Buzios is renowned as a beautiful place where the wealthy can find peace and quiet. Interest in Buzios increased in 1960 with the visit of French actress Brigitte Bardot, then a famous international movie star, who chose this city to relax for some days. Since then, Búzios became part of a special itinerary in international tourism. Búzios has great hotels of international distinction, nice bars and fancy restaurants. There is also intense local commerce with stores stocked with national and international brands. Despite this undeniable sophistication, Búzios still retains its fishing village charm that has made it one of the most desired holiday locations in Brazil.
