Description The Tropical Islands Tour begins with a ride along the Santos River Highway which runs between the Atlantic Forest covered mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. Travel to the city of Itacuruça, located 60 miles from Rio de Janeiro approximately a one-hour drive. In Itacuruça, board a boat and begin the journey along the calm waters which are protected from the open sea by a sandbar of the Marambaia Restinga and form the Sepetiba Bay. The Septiba Bay is home to dozens of islands which are true tropical paradises and possess various inlets, beaches, restingas and flagstones covered with dense vegetation. White sands, palms and clear water form this paradise - inviting you to just sit back, relax and enjoy. These waters are renowned for being one of the best places for diving and fishing in Brazil and if you are lucky you may also see dolphins gliding through the waters. The boat will stop at a small inlet where you will have plenty of time to jump in, swim, snorkel and explore the beautiful waters. Lunch will be on a private island where you will have time to leisurely wander and discover many interesting birds and animals.
