Huashan Mountain: Huashan Mountian meaning (flower mountain) is situated in Huayin county 120km east of Xian and has been noted since ancient times for it's extremely magnificent scenery and it's preciptious peaks. The formation of the mountain peaks resembles a colossal lotus flower in bloom. The path to the top consists of some 570 steps with steep cliffs on one side and and the fathomless revine on the other. The steel chain along the path gives climbers an indispensible aid. With all it's three sides being perilous cliffs, the north peak has it's only way out via the south ridge.
