Description Full Day tour to: Famen Temple, Treasure museum and Qian Tomb
Famen Temple: Situated about 120km west of Xian, Famen Temple is a famous Buddhist temple which holds genuine relics of Buddha Sakyamuni. Patronized by a succession of emperors, this temple became one of the four most sared Buddhist sanctuaries in China. It is said that the temple was first built in the tenth year of Emperor Ming Di's rein (67 AD) in the eastern Han Dynasty and and was enlarged during the Tang Dynasty.
Treasure museum: On display in the Treasure museum are invaluable treasures of the Tang Dynasty and the only known genuine relics of Sakyamuni's finger bones were discovered underneath the Tang Pagoda in 1987. This unprecidented discovery ignited great excitement among the Buddhists, archaeologists, and tourists all over the world.
Qian Tomb: Located 80km west of Xian, Qian Tomb is the joint tomb of Emperor Gao Zong (628-638AD), the third Emperor of the Tang Dynasty and his Empress Consort Wu Zetian (624-705AD) the only Empress who reigned in Chinese History
