Description
It is around 2 hours coach or train journey from Shanghai to Suzhou, a 2500 year old city known as "Gusu city" or as "Oriental Venice". Visitors will be taken to a formerly private garden and a silk museum. The "Humble Administrators Garden" is a typical example of the art of horticulture south of the Yangtze River as well as a treasure house containing arts of architecture, calligraphy, carving, painting and bonsai. It was listed as a cultural relic of national importance in 1961.
