This 18-day, 17-night escorted tour will extensively take you through the nations of Vietnam and Cambodia. Located on the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia, both destinations are home to interesting history – both ancient and more recent - truly beautiful countryside and delicious cuisine.
Your journey will begin in Vietnam, a country roughly the same size as Italy that is home to an interesting diversity of religions, cuisines and natural landscapes. While here you will see modern skyscrapers, mountains, historic temples, beautiful lakes, scenic coastline, rice paddies, fruit orchards, the Mekong River islands and a significant French influence that dates back to Vietnam’s era as a French colony. Vietnam is home to a whopping seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the following which you will visit (for more information on these sites, please click on the specific links): Ha Long Bay, the Complex of Hué monuments, the ancient town of Hoi An - and the My Son Sanctuary. As part of the program in Vietnam you will also visit sites connected to the American-Vietnam Conflict including the Cu Chi Tunnels outside Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon) and Hoa Lo Prison (Hanoi Hilton).
You will then travel west to the nation of Cambodia, which borders Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and the Gulf of Thailand. This primarily Buddhist country was once home to the fascinating Khmer Empire, which reigned from the 9th-15th century. As you discover Cambodia, you will realize just how unspoiled a vacation destination it is. A highlight on your trip will be a visit to Angkor. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia. It houses the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire including the Temple of Angkor Wat, the national symbol of Cambodia, and inside the fortified city of Angkor Thom - the mysterious Bayon Temple.

Passengers traveling abroad require a passport valid for six months beyond their travel dates. All travelers are responsible to check if a visa is required for all countries on their itinerary.
PLEASE NOTE FOR TRAVEL INTO VIETNAM: Beginning 1 Feb 2017, Vietnam officially launched their new e-visa program. The advantage of an e-visa is that clients will not have to wait at the airport for a Visa on Arrival, resulting in a faster Immigration process. U.S. Citizens will be able to apply for a 30-day, single-entry e-visa. The fee is $25 per person, paid at the time your application is submitted. This fee is non-refundable, even if the visa is refused.
How to apply for a Vietnam e-visa online: To apply for e-visas, foreign citizens can visit the e-visa page of Vietnam Immigration’s website at www.immigration.gov.vn. Applicants will receive an application code and will be asked to pay a non-refundable, $25 per person fee online. Guests need to upload their passport plus 1 photo (looking straight ahead without glasses).
