Transportation notes: Three of London’s airports, London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, all have regular train service connecting them to central London. To travel from the airport to your hotel, do a combination of train & tube, or book an airport transfer with us. As London is so vast, it’s worth buying an electronic Visitor Oyster Card in advance for use on the London Underground. We offer rail station transfers in both London and Paris. Otherwise you can use public transportation or take a taxi to reach St Pancras Station or to go from Paris Gare du Nord station to your hotel. To reach your correct Paris airport, book an airport transfer with us or use public transportation (the RER train and the Paris Métro.) If you intend to use the city metro, we also offer 1, 2 or 3-day metro passes for purchase in advance, which can be used for the airport trains. As Rome’s Fiumicino Airport is located quite far from the center, to reach your hotel you might like to add an airport transfer for a few dollars more. Alternatively, public transportation options are taxi, or a combination of train, subway and taxi.
Our suggestions of things to do and see in:
With such rich history, London is chocked full of fascinating sights like the Tower of London, Shakespeare’s Globe, Hampton Court Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. While in London take afternoon tea, try traditional British pub fare and see a show in the West End theatre district. This energetic capital also has many museums with free entry to their permanent collections - some of our favorites include the British Library, the British Museum, Tate Modern, the National Portrait Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum. For great views, consider adding a sightseeing cruise on the River Thames or a ride on the soaring London Eye. In addition to the most popular sightseeing, we also offer several quirky, fun tours in London that’ll teach you everything you ever wanted to know about Harry Potter, Jack the Ripper or Downton Abbey.
Paris could be described as the European center of food, fashion and art. From the iconic Eiffel Tower to the neighborhood sidewalk cafes, Paris has so much to offer. Dedicate some time to exploring the famous Louvre Museum and the stunning Musée d'Orsay, housed in a Beaux-Arts railway station built in the late 1800’s. As Paris is known for its cabarets, attend a show at the Paradis Latin or the Moulin Rouge.
