Three nights in London. Breakfast provided.
Bid farewell to England as you board your return flight to the United States.
Hotel notes: Check-in times are generally at 2:00 or 3:00 pm. Should you arrive beforehand, the hotel’s reception staff would be happy to store your baggage for you so you can set out and begin exploring.
Transportation notes: As Paris’ airports are all located outside the city center, to reach your hotel add a private or shared airport transfer for a few dollars more or use public transportation (the RER train and the Paris Métro.) If you prefer the city metro, we offer 1, 2 or 3-day metro passes for purchase in advance, which can also be used for the airport trains. Three of London’s airports, London Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, all have regular train service connecting them to central London. To travel between your hotel and the airport, do a combination of train & tube, or book an airport transfer with us. As London is so vast, it’s worth buying an electronic Visitor Oyster Card in advance for use on the London Underground.
Our suggestions of things to do and see in:
Paris could be described as the European center of food, fashion and art. From the iconic Eiffel Tower to the neighborhood sidewalk cafes, Paris has so much to offer. On your trip, experience a foodie day in Paris - learn how to create baguettes, croissants or other uniquely French dishes in a hands-on baking or cooking class. Enjoy a wine and cheese tasting, a chocolate walking tour, or a day trip to Champagne. If you like shopping, visit the 10-story flagship Galeries Lafayette during the weekly free fashion show, take a designer outlet shopping tour, or try our vintage Paris flea market tour. Take a relaxing “Illuminations of Paris” coach tour or Seine River cruise by night, and explore these uniquely Parisian Neighborhoods on a guided walking tour: the Latin Quarter, Montmartre, the Right Bank, and the Île de la Cité - the home of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame. Dedicate some time to exploring the famous Louvre Museum and the stunning Musée d'Orsay, housed in a Beaux-Arts railway station built in the late 1800’s. As Paris is known for its cabarets, attend a show at the Paradis Latin or the Moulin Rouge. It’s also easy to see a bit more of France while based in Paris. You can take a full-day excursion to Giverny to see the beautiful home and gardens of Claude Monet, the landing beaches in Normandy, the Palace of Fontainebleau, the Loire Valley Castles or the Palace, gardens and city of Versailles.
With such rich history, London is chocked full of fascinating sights like the Tower of London, Shakespeare’s Globe, Hampton Court Palace, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. While in London take afternoon tea, try traditional British pub fare and see a show in the West End theatre district. This energetic capital also has many museums with free entry to their permanent collections - some of our favorites include the British Library, the British Museum, Tate Modern, the National Portrait Gallery and the Victoria and Albert Museum. For great views, consider adding a sightseeing cruise on the River Thames or a ride on the soaring London Eye. In addition to the most popular sightseeing, we also offer several quirky, fun tours in London that’ll teach you everything you ever wanted to know about Harry Potter, Jack the Ripper or Downton Abbey. Lastly, if you’d like a town and country experience, you can reach many famous cities and sites from London in just a few hours like Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Bath, Cambridge, Salisbury, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Canterbury, Dover and the Cotswolds.
