Six nights in Barcelona. Breakfast provided.
Bid farewell to Spain as you board your return flight to the United States.
Hotel notes: Check-in times are generally at 2:00 or 3:00 pm. Should you arrive beforehand, the hotel’s reception staff would be happy to store your baggage for you so you can set out and begin exploring.
Transportation notes: As Barcelona’s El Prat Airport is located outside the city center, to reach your hotel add an airport transfer for a few dollars more. Alternatively, you can take a taxi, the Aerobús, the metro or a train. One affordable way to take in the city’s best sights at your own pace is with the Barcelona Card (available for 3, 4 or 5 days), which covers all your public transportation needs in Barcelona and offers discounted rates to over 80 museums. Another great option to see the city is a “hop-on, hop-off sightseeing bus tour.” We offer 1 and 2-day passes, which can be used on any of its three lines.
Our suggestions of things to do and see in:
Barcelona is a wonderland for art, architecture, history and gastronomy fans. If you like expert guiding, we have a wealth of great tours like the Picasso Walking Tour, the Gothic Quarter Walking Tour and the Gourmet Walking Tour. Learning about the city’s most famous architect, Antoni Gaudí, is a must-do; his modernista works like the Sagrada Família Basilica, Casa Milà, Casa Batlló and Park Güell have become symbols of the city itself. We offer guided tours of the Sagrada Família as well as an Artistic Barcelona Gaudí Tour. Barcelona is home to truly excellent museums, many of which are free with the Barcelona Card including the Chocolate Museum, the kid-friendly CosmoCaixa Science Museum, the Fundació Joan Miró, the contemporary MACBA and the Barcelona City History Museum, which houses incredible excavations of Barcelona’s ancient Roman Forum. Other quintessential Barcelona “things to do” include exploring the Boqueria food market, walking Las Ramblas and Plaça Catalunya and enjoying a seaside paella lunch. You also have plenty of time to make a day trip - great choices include the Monastery of Monserrat, cava wine country, the ancient city of Girona, the Salvador Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres, the spectacular Costa Brava, and the seaside resort town of Sitges.
“Our suggestions of things to do and see” are not included in the package price and may be at an additional cost.
