| Destination Notes NEW Hotel Barcelona/Cataluna accommodation tax
The Generalitat of Cataluña has announced that from 01 November 2012 they will be imposing a tasa turistica (tourist tax) on hotel accommodation:
• €2.50 per person per night (pppn) for 5-star hotels
• €1.25 pppn for 4-star hotels
• €.75 pppn for all other hotels.
Other key points:
• Applicable for a maximum stay of 7 nights.
• Applicable to anyone aged 17 years and upwards.
• Applicable to hotels in Cataluña (provinces of Barcelona, Girona, Lleida & Tarragona).
PACKAGE AVAILABILITY: The package will not be available February 18 - 26 due to the GSM Mobile World Congress event that will be occurring in Barcelona during these dates.
